Last but not least in my catch up game!

IT"S A GIRL!!!

Yep in case you didn't know yet, I'm prego and we just found out it's a girl. I couldn't be more happy. Ragan and Dallin are thrilled, Dad is satisfied and James well he's not so sure! We took the whole family to the ultrasound (whew!) James was intrigued, but when the doctor said it's a girl, he immediately replied, "I don't think so, we'll see!" He is stickin' to it. He is convinced the doctor is wrong! So I guess we'll see! The Doctor said she'd keep checkin' for him! :) I'm due July 10th!

Crazy Kids

Dal finally fits into James 2 year old suit! What a stud.

Dallin insists on sleeping on the top bunk, but once in awhile it has it's "downfalls." He's fallin off 3 times now but this one was a duesy! Look at that lip!

I quit working at the gym due to prego sick stuff, but Ragan keeps me in shape. She wakes up in the morning and says, "Mom we need to 'essersise'!" We do exercise videos and I use the treadmill. Ragan is always about the "right" outfit. So at first she wanted to sport a bandana and shorts and a t-shirt like Mom. But when she saw the awesome threads of the 80's buns of steel chicks she couldn't resist. She told me "MOM! We have the wrong outfits!" She immediately went upstairs to fix the problem and came down looking super stylin! I love this girl! She is definitely all girl!

Daddy is SO PROUD!!! ;) James doesn't usually get in on the "girly stuff" with Rae, but this time he just couldn't stay man enough! Paint on the face is too much fun! (he also likes clear polish when the polish comes out! he says then Dad won't notice!)

Christmas 2009

Christmas 2009 we had tons of fun. The kids loved our newest tradition of gingerbread house design! They had a blast, building and tasting! James was a pro at Christmas tree assembly. And even though I truly miss the Christmas tree hunting tradition that I grew up with, this tradition is fun too, and a lot cheaper! Who can beat free right? We didn't get any Christmas morning pictures. I have never liked these pictures, it is too chaotic to get good pics so I decided video was the way to go to capture Christmas morning. Don't worry I won't bore you with the video, but I will say it was so fun! We love Christmas. The other pictures are the Christmas Eve. We always get a picture showing off the pajamas the elves bring every Christmas Eve, but Dallin was not so excited about this idea! Oh well, we just got the cutest sad face picture ever instead! Also we were out of milk and ran out of time to make cookies, so santa got a special letter and a unique treat (m&m's and water!) James wrote a sweet letter to explain, and Santa wrote him back. He got a kick out of that! He loves to practice his letters any chance he gets!

Birthdays

I am usually a birthday bash lover, but this year I wasn't feeling up to all the fun. So sadly my kiddos had to do without the big hurrahs this time. James still had a small party with a few friends to play play station. And poor Ragan didn't get a party at all. They didn't even get special cakes this year. James through a fit and lost privileges for his cake, and Ragan just got pink cupcakes. I just wasn't feelin' it this year :( Even more sad is the fact that I don't have a single picture of Ragan's 4th birthday. We had a little "party" with Grandma and Grandpa Julander at their house, but no pics. James' pics are from our "family party" which consisted of just us, no extended family. Oh well! There will be more birthdays to come and I can make up for this flop of a year then right?! I did include some pictures of my sweet angel Ragan. She's such a doll and deserved a party. Sorry Rae! James turned 6 and Ragan turned 4! I can't believe they are getting so big!

New Moon

I couldn't fail to mention our yearly "twighlight" girl's night. I know we're big dorks with our matching t-shirts, but it sure is fun! We went to new moon in a specially rented theatre for opening night. The movie started at 8pm but we were there at 4pm. Needless to say we were first in line. We even had time for dinner before starting the line. They wouldn't put us in an official line until 6pm so we made our own! Sign and all. Then we waited and waited...and waited. It was worth the wait. Before the movie started the group that rented the theatre, I think it was a hospital or something, had raffle. I won a gift certificate to a restaraunt in bountiful! We had a lot of fun. All girls nights are fun, especially with these girls!

Let's play catch up!

First (I know pathetic I have to go this far back) fall cleanup! I love this beautiful tree...I hate it's leaves in the fall! We have an even larger tree in the back yard! Ughh. (the bags in the picture are the front yard only, and there are still alot of leaves on the tree!) But even if I hate the cleanup, the cute pictures of my kiddos are worth it. They look forward to leaf cleanup.

4/19/10 After eating a whole bowl of strawberries when I wasn't looking..."Ragan did you eat all of those strawberries?" "Yep cause I wanted lots of muscles...wanna see my guns!?...that's what we call muscles mom!"
4/18/10 Ragan "Last night was the bird's church night because I heard them singing!"
We were at Macey's our usual weekly grocery trip. The clerks always like to give the kids smarties when we check out. They hadn't eaten their lunch very well so I told them no thankyou. A minute or so went by and Ragan longingly looked up at me and said, "Mom smarties make everything better!"
A humbling yet proud mother moment: James witnessed some unkind words from me to Pete. He said to me "mommy, that wasn't very nice...you better repent or you will have black marks on your white clothes in heaven."
Ragan is obsessed with Scooby Doo lately and she says "Like wow!" preceeding everything that comes out of her mouth.
2/4/10 We were at Costco today and of course because of superbowl weekend they had endless samples. So we had ourselves a nice little "lunch." Well, when we got to the sample table with avacados, I asked Ragan if she wanted some (she loves abadacados!) And she said very pointedly, "No mom, that's not junk." Apparently we go to costco to sample "junk." I don't know where she got this idea, but it made me giggle! I love my sassy princess!
10/30/09 James " I have piece of my popcorn ball stuck in the back of my mouth" Mom "go take a drink, maybe it will help" James "Okay...(gets a drink)...it didn't work" Mom "I guess you'll just have to stick your finger back there and get it" " Okay but I don't want to have to go to the doctor and get stitches!"
10/22/09 Dallin's latest things to say are bless you after he sneezes and thankyou when we give him a kiss.

8/31/09 We have a new rule that we can only have treats and desserts on Monday nights for family nights. We've been doing it for a little over a month now, and the kids are getting used to it. James just said to me, (when we were talking about family night treat) "We only can rotten our teeth this day, right?"
8/31/09 James was asking why this and why that etc. until I was getting a little annoyed! So I said "Why do you ask so many questions!" James "Well...because I like to talk to you mom." (my heart melted :( )
8/25/09 James " Hey mom, did you know that when we drink lots of milk it makes our bones white?" Ragan "ya and when we eat strawberries our blood is red and when we eat blueberries our blood is blue!"
8/25/09 Ragan "Mom, your beautiful" Mom "you are too Ragan. You know what makes you beautiful, your fun personality etc... Ragan "ya and not my bad-alities and mean-alities...you know mean-alities is when I hit!
8/13/09 When we were putting the kids to bed tonight, I realized I had forgotten to wash Ragan's quilt, so I asked Pete to get her a blanket. He brought her her tinkerbell blanket and said how about this one? Ragan said, no that one's dirty too. Pete said no, we just washed it. Ragan's reply was, "well I wiped my boogers on it last year!"
Dallin's favorite words: dip-ips = chips, hos=horse, tose=toast, mine (everything is "mine")
6/26/09 Pete was asked to go on splits with the missionaries. James asked Pete, "What does splits mean?" After a long, very informative explanation from Pete, James said, "Oh okay...what does all than mean?!"
Ragan 6/21/09 We were at Pete's parents' house. Ragan was playing with their dog, when all of a sudden she said, "Sampson lick-ed my flip off finger!" After giggling a little I replied, "And who told you about your flip off finger!?"
Pete was teasing James the other day pretending that he was pushing him down the stairs with the laundry basket. James escaped and then said, "Dad! You scared the crap out of me!" (Pete and I must say crap a lot! It sounds so much worse coming out of our kids' mouths.)
Ragan (a few months ago) Pete took the kids to shopko. They were waiting in line when Ragan saw a lady with a whole bunch of rubbermade tubs. Ragan pointed and said, "Holy..Moly..Crap! She's got a lot of boxes!"
