Well I came home from work today to a decision made by Pete and the kiddos on the baby name. They decided on Lorelei Debra Julander... I am not completely convinced, but who knows maybe it will grow on me. My newest choice is Cambrie and Pete still likes Harley. Ragan still loves Layla but was satisfied with Lorelei. Pete showed me a whole new list that he found today. I think the only one that made the cut from the last list was Layla. Claire was just too popular! I have a thing against popular names since my name has been in the top ten names for decades! I hate baby naming, they should come with a name tatooed on their rear ends like cabbage patch dolls!

Lorelei
Cambrie
Harley
Layla
Kimberely
Peyton
Gabrielle
Naomi
Kinley
Brylee (Briley)
Evie
I know we have far too many choices, but I like outside opinions so help us out!

I think Gabrielle is my favorite. Gabby for short. It is not too different but still somewhat unqiue. Good luck though. I dislike the pressure of picking a name. Also congrats on the resp. therapist acceptance!
Layla and Brylee are my favs on your list. My favorite if I had a girl this last time was Brielle... Its my all-time favorite. You can have it. hehe
I like Lorelei--but how is it pronounced exactly? Too bad about Claire--I really thought that was a cute one. I like Gabby, but not Gabrielle, and I think the other name I like from your list is Naomi. Good luck though! Holy cow. I'm glad choosing a name was easy for us. :) We'll see how easy it is the next time around though...
Remember, JMHO, not to be taken too seriously. I'm just your father!:)
Lorelei Julander...a lot of syllables! Very pretty and very classy though. What would be her nickname/pet name?
I still like Claire because it is simple and beautiful and I very much admire the only person I know with that name. And, even though the name Emily is popular, there is only Emily for me! And she defines that name.
For me, naming is about tradition (remember, JMHO), not about unique or cutesy! A name has substance, meaning, roots. James is not a unique, cutesy name...it's been popular for millennia. Dallin is also a traditional, substantive name. Ragan is classy name...and a very classy little girl. It also fits a grown up sophisticated woman very well. Some of the cutesy names on the list wouldn't fit a mom or a grandma, or a RS president that well, IMO.
So there...for me it's still Claire. Are you surprised I spoke my piece?
Wow that's quite a few names to choose from! My vote is Layla or Evie. But I'm sure whatever you choose will fit her perfectly =)
I have to agree with Rob, I still like claire the best, but I do like Cambrie, and I have a niece named Briley (I didn't like the name at first but it really grew on me and it really does fit her).
I'm going aganst the crowd. I REALLY like Lorelei! Very cute!
Congrats on all the good stuff ( new baby girl, and school acceptance) It all sounds awesome. Good Luck with the girly names, I can never figure out / agree with my hubby on names either.
Love Lorelei! And Gabrielle.
