Finally some Dirty Dash Pictures

Half of my siblings and some of my friends and I put together a team and did the Dirty Dash at Soldier Hollow this year. The race was September 17th but I just barely got my hands on these pictures. So here is a little looksee at all the fun we had. This is definitely a "race" that I'll be doing again and again. I think I want it to be a family tradition that eventually includes my kiddos.
Danny being his charming self, getting all dressed up for the race. He was definitely our entertainment all day. Sadly about half way through the race he got dirt up inside his eyelid that scratched his eyeball and he had to call it quits! Bummer.

Here's the whole crew. Next year we are going to have some real costumes. This was our last minute throw something together "costume" idea....pretty lame I know!

This picture is to emphasize Pete's lovely short shorts...yes he wears these to the gym. Oh my!

Holly and Sarah posing for their potty break. Sarah's green stretchy pants were my favorite part of our "costumes"
Here we go!

If you look closely, you will notice all of our strategically placed handprints! (we got bored waiting for the race to start!)
Hi MOM! My wonderful mommy was our photographer, she ran all over the course to take different shots, I think she got just as good of a workout as us! She also provided a much needed meal at the end of the race! THANKS MOM!

This rope swing was pretty lame. I wish they had a big muddy pool to jump into.

Giant slip and slide, way fun but it tore you up a little if you weren't careful. There was so much gritty dirt, and then the landing looked soft, but it was pretty much solid rock!
We are definitely super cool...and buff, don't you think?

A little mud in the mouth never hurt anyone right?
You know that looks really fun, but it left some pretty good bruises on my hips! OUCH!
Ta Da!
And we're done! 6.3 miles of disgustingly dirty fun!
This is Heidi's clean shirt after the race....she forgot to clean out her pits! EEW!

This was SO AWESOME! I TOTALLY want to do it again!!! Oh yeah, did Mom get any good pictures of the "second half" of the group? I'd like to see those. ;)
