My friend Brittany Marvel and I have been training for the Ogden half marathon for months now! Today we did it, and we survived. We just missed our goal for under two hours, but we were pretty darn close. I am proud of us! Thanks Brit for keeping me going, I know you could have smoked me, but I'm glad you stuck with me! It was awesome! And thanks mom dad and Nan for coming to support me!

Castle Park
We discovered a great new park in Kaysville. Some of you are probably aware of it already, but it was new to us. We call it castle park. We went for family night and had a blast. I also went a week or two ago with our Young Women group and played freeze tag. We had so much fun, so it's a park for all ages!!! James brought his sword and knife so that he could be the knight! He loved slaying the dragon, and rescuing princess Ragan from the tallest tower!

Scrapbook addiction
I haven't been sleeping very well lately, so rather than toss and turn in bed I decided to occupy myself until I am so tired that I fall right into my pillow without thoughts and worries to keep my brain awake. I have been completely addicted to digital scrapbooking again. This is what I do to occupy my time. What else do you do until 3 am? So I posted another scrapbook slide on the left side of my blog check it out!

Double Good News!
I have two things to share with you today that make me smile. One is that Pete got a job. It's not ideal, but it's something to get us by for now. He will be working graves at a nursing home as a CNA. It's only part time, but it means I can now have a day off from the salons! This is huge news for me, I am more than a little burnt out! I am way excited to be free from hair every Monday!
The second good news is that after months of anticipation we again have a functioning bath tub! My kids and I are more than excited about this news. We have been group showering in a tiny standup shower for nine months now! Pete finally grouted and sealed the new bath/shower upstairs. It was one of those project that we figured would take a week or two, that became a way bigger and more costly project when we ripped it all out and found other fun problems. So anyway, the kids took their first bath in their beautiful new tub just hours ago. I love it, I just need a shower curtain now so I can try it out too!

Easter
Friday, April 17, 2009

My Sister-in-law Minde started a way cool tradition the year Pete and I got married. At the end of every year each family does a scrapbook page of their year's highlights. We put the originals in a book for Pete's parents and we give a copy to each family. So we all have a family scrapbook...I love it. I thought I'd share the idea and share the pages that I did for last year. Yes I just got them done and it's April. I've had a crazy few months!!!
