Double Good News!

I have two things to share with you today that make me smile. One is that Pete got a job. It's not ideal, but it's something to get us by for now. He will be working graves at a nursing home as a CNA. It's only part time, but it means I can now have a day off from the salons! This is huge news for me, I am more than a little burnt out! I am way excited to be free from hair every Monday!

The second good news is that after months of anticipation we again have a functioning bath tub! My kids and I are more than excited about this news. We have been group showering in a tiny standup shower for nine months now! Pete finally grouted and sealed the new bath/shower upstairs. It was one of those project that we figured would take a week or two, that became a way bigger and more costly project when we ripped it all out and found other fun problems. So anyway, the kids took their first bath in their beautiful new tub just hours ago. I love it, I just need a shower curtain now so I can try it out too!

Easter

I decided it's easier to just share the scrapbook pages I've done for easter rather than come up with a blog post about it. So here is some pics of our Easter fun!

My Sister-in-law Minde started a way cool tradition the year Pete and I got married. At the end of every year each family does a scrapbook page of their year's highlights. We put the originals in a book for Pete's parents and we give a copy to each family. So we all have a family scrapbook...I love it. I thought I'd share the idea and share the pages that I did for last year. Yes I just got them done and it's April. I've had a crazy few months!!!

IT'S A MAID.....

IT'S A CHEF......

IT'S A CHAUFFER....

IT'S SUPERMOM...MAN

Oh, it's Pete!

I took this picture of my cute hubby, because it made me smile. Some time ago this would have been a very rare occasion, hard to catch on film. (If you can't tell he's cleaning) But now since our roles have switched, this moment could be captured almost daily! I love it! Pete has taken to his Mr. Mom duties with whole heart. I never imagined he could be so good at cleaning. I ALMOST think he's better than me, at keeping it up anyway. We do things differently but he has done such a great job since I started working! I sure love and appreciate him for his efforts! What a man! Seriously not many guys I know would have jumped into this Mr. Mom thing so willingly and with a smile on their face. I think every marraige could benefit from a situation like ours. We have both learned a lot about the other person's job. We have learned to appreciate eachother more and help eachother out. If this whole loss of job thing, brings nothing but an appreciation for each other, it will have been well worth it. Unfortunately it has given much more insight than that. I have been humbled yet again. I really do miss being a mom, and I appreciate motherhood more than ever. I miss it. I miss my kiddos. I miss cleaning my house, if that's possible. I do not enjoy the pressures of being the bread winner and I will gladly hand the responsibility back to Pete when that time comes. For now, I will tough it out and be a Man :)! Anyway I just thought I'd share my pride in my fabulous Mr. Mom with all. I love this man! He is such a stud!
Even as a mommy!

Sugar Mama!

Well, my news is half good. Pete hasn't found a job, but I have. We decided I am going to work him through school. He will play Mr. Mom and focus on full time school. I have very mixed emotions about the whole thing. I've started working at a salon. I really enjoy it, but have a hard time putting my heart into it when I think about being home with my babies. I know that Pete is with them, and he truly does a great job. But honestly I miss them and I feel like I never have time to see them. Now I know how dads feel. It's rough. I am also feeling the pressure of making ends meet. I am paid commission, so I never know what I'll make. That is unsettling for me. I would so much rather have a steady paycheck. But this is all trial and error. We'll see how things go. We would still appreciate prayers from all of you. Thankyou all for keeping us in your prayers already. I know things fell into place because of it. Hopefully my next update will be more upbeat! Thanks again to everyone!

Bad News

I feel kinda weird posting this, but I thought it might help. Pete lost his job this week and my Dad told me that the more people that know the better! That way we can have more ears listening for job opportunities. So I guess I'm asking for all of you to help us out. If you hear of any decent jobs please let us know. We aren't too picky. We just need something to get us by until Pete finally gets accepted into school. We've been trying for two years with no luck. Hopefully sometime soon our luck will change! All I know is that something will work out. Our Heavenly Father loves us and we are trying our best to live as we should and we will be blessed for doing so. Hopefully someone who reads this will be able to help us out in some way or another. Even if you all just pray for us. We would appreciate anything that you can do! Thankyou!
