Young Women's Camp!

So I have always had a love for girls camp, and I got to go with the Young Women this year! We went to Aspen Ridge Scout Camp in Preston Idaho. We had a million and one things go wrong but still managed to feel the spirit, build our testimonies and ahave tons of fun. We started out by losing three sleeping bags on the freeway on the way up, which Brandy and I chased down! We got a good mile run in at least! We needed the exercise! Then the first day poor Trina tripped on a log in her bare feet and jammed her toe. We doctored it up with the first aid kit, but the next day it wasn't lookin so good and the camp nurse sent her home. That night K'lila got stung by a bee and had an allergic reaction. So poor Brandy woke up at wee hours of the morning and drove her to the ER in Preston. The same day K'lila, poor thing, got her leg smashed between her horse and a tree on our horse ride. She had a bruise from ankly to knee! Then Katie got heat stroke, Lydia sprained her knee and I got a migraine along with K'lila! But along with the calamities came opportunity for priesthood blessings and lots of prayer. We had rain on and off and had opportunity to pray it away. It was cool on the last night, the rain fell right up until testimony meeting. We prayed and it stopped and then soon after the meeting it started up again. Prayer and faith can go a long way! I think if the girls were paying attention they had ample opportunity to build testimony. After all our camp theme was B.O.O.T. Camp, (Building On Our Testimonies) Oh and on right as we were about to head out Brandy noticed a flat tire. Which would have been a breeze to fix accept she had lug locks on her hub caps and didn't have the key! Oh the adventure!!! Drama drama drama...but such good times. I love girls camp calamities and all. I love the spirit that is there, and the fun immaturity too! I am still on a spiritual high that I'm hoping will not end. Here's some pics of the fun!

Em, you're freaking skinny. Stop it. Haha--kidding, but seriously. Looks and sounds like it was a test of faith but way, way fun! I'm glad you got to go. I SO miss camping!
